Edmonton, Alberta (May 28, 2013) – Capital Plumbing & Heating, Ltd. is promoting the upcoming Homeward Walk Run 2013, slated for Sunday, June 23, from 8:30 AM to 12 PM at the Snow Valley Ski Area in Edmonton. The inaugural event, created by Homeward Trust, is aimed to raise funds to help end homelessness in the area, a cause that the Edmonton heater seller ardently supports.
Spearheaded by Homeward Trust Edmonton, the event is open to families, groups, and individuals who can enter in different categories. There is a free 1km Kids Fun Run, as well as a 5km Walk, a 5km Run, and a 5 Mile Run, each with a registration fee of CAN$40.00, that adults can join. Proceeds and other donations will go to the Welcome Home befriending program, which helps people make the transition from homelessness to home.
